This ride explores the “wild east Galilee” and offers a unique combination of amazing landscapes and interesting historical connections through the Jesus Trail and the story of the battle of Hitin.
The Jesus Trail is a world renown biblical route from Nazareth to the Galilee that connects sites from the life of Jesus as it passes through Christian, Muslim and Jewish communities along the way. On this ride you’ll ride in parts of the Jesus Trail, also including forests, ancient olive groves, rugged cliffs, the Arbel Stream, Horns of Hitin and the stunning Sea of Galilee!
Doing it on horseback adds an unforgettable memory to this world class trail, riding through history, culture, and magnificent landscapes!
This is a slower paced ride, enabling every level of rider to participate and enjoy its wonders.

ITINERARY
HALF DAY RIDE
We will start our day in our stable in Kibbutz Lavi, and head towards the Arbel stream!
We will walk on the Jesus trail until we arrive at Nitay spring. From there we will climb to Hitin horns, the place of the battle of the crusaders and Sllah A Din at 1187ad, and soak in the exhilarating view of the eastern Galilee before we head back to the stable .
In summer we will drive to the Sea of Galilee after the ride so you can have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a full board ride, including horses, tack, and a delicious saddlebag meal!
